The Quezon City Government and Globe Telecom have joined forces in providing free internet access to QCitizens via the GoWiFiPh.
There will be 4,000 access points in the city, including hospitals, barangay halls, markets, schools, malls, and other public places.
Aside from GoWiFi, there will also be KonekTayo WiFi in several housing sites in the city. Residents can enjoy 1GB of internet data access per day for only P15. In addition, KonekTayo QC Bus WiFi will be deployed to different barangays like Sta. Lucia, Commonwealth, Sauyo, and Pasong Tamo where teachers and students can avail of free internet connection.
Aside from education, this will greatly help the citizens since most government transactions are already made online.
