The Quezon City Government, through the QC Traffic and Transport Management (TTMD), has launched the QCity Bus Program, which serves as a vital means of transportation for thousands of commuters daily, offering free rides and easing traffic congestion.
With on-the-ground operations supervised by TTMD enforcers, the program enables the productive use of limited road space by safely transporting dozens of commuters at a time.
Under the program, diesel and electric QCity buses follow a schedule and stop at designated pick-up and drop-off points along the 8 routes. To make QCitizens’ trips more convenient and easier, the program has also implemented interchangeable routes, where QCitizens can get off at designated transfer points and ride another QCity bus that will pass by a different route.
Apart from that, the city government has also expanded the Q City Bus Service by adding bus stops on Route 6 to accommodate even more passengers.
As of March 2026, the QCity Bus Program has reached a total of 45,689,570 ridership from 1,149,655 trips since its establishment in 2020 during the pandemic.
