The Quezon City Government’s City Bus Program, organized by the Office of the City Administrator (OCA), serves as a vital means of transportation for thousands of commuters daily, offering free rides and helping to ease traffic congestion.
The program enables the productive use of limited road space with its capacity to transport dozens of commuters at a time.
These QCity buses follow a schedule and stop at designated pick-up and drop-off points along the 8 routes. To make QCitizens’ trips more convenient and easier, the program has also implemented interchangeable routes, where QCitizens can get off at designated transfer points and ride another QCity bus that will pass by a different route.
QCity Bus on-ground operations are spearheaded by the Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), led by Mr. Dexter Cardenas.
As of October 2025, the QCity Bus Program has reached over 41 million ridership since its establishment in 2020 during the pandemic. Bus stops on Route 6 were also added to further extend the scope of the QCity Bus Service and cater to even more passengers.
The Libreng Sakay initiative is open to the public.
To know more about the Q City Bus program and its updated routes and schedules, kindly follow the official QC Government FB Page, check out the Q City Bus Routes under QCitizen Guides, or watch Q City Bus Interchangeable Routes for more detailed information on the bus routes.
QCitizens may also contact OCA for concerns or coordinate with TTMD regarding forgotten valuables on the bus.
