The Quezon City Government through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) set-up the Emergency Employment Program (EEP) wherein displace workers from their previous jobs due to the pandemic were hired by the local government under the Emergency Employment Program.

The workers under the program were tasked in the delivery of goods and services during the pandemic.  Some were also hired as administrative staff and encoders for the Social Amelioration Program and Kalingang QC Program, and as bus drivers for the Libreng Sakay Program. The workers were remunerated with P16,000/month in accordance with the Labor Departments’s minimum liveable wage.  Chosen workers are residents of nearby barangays making it easy for them to be shuttled to the Quezon City Hall.
