The Social Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens is in accordance with the existing laws to support the continuous aim of the government to secure and protect indigent senior citizens. The implementation of this program is in compliance with Section 5, Paragraph H, Number 1 of the Republic Act 9994, otherwise known as the Expanded Senior Citizens’ Act of 2010, where indigent senior citizens can receive financial assistance from the government for their basic necessities such as food and medicine.
ELIGIBILITY:
- 60 years old and above
- No pension (SSS, GSIS, PVAO, etc.) or regular source of income
- Not an appointed or elected barangay official
- Listed in the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS)
- Registered on PhilSys
NOTE: Indigent and oldest applicants will be prioritized.

PROCESS:
- The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will coordinate with the Quezon City LGU to select potential beneficiaries based on the data gathered from the senior citizen QCitizen ID records and the CBMS.
- If endorsed, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) near you will validate your personal information. You may input your details, including your PhilSys Card Number (PCN), on the BBM Serbisyo for a faster verification and identification process.
- Once your personal details have been validated, regularly check the official Facebook pages of the Quezon City Government and the Office for the Senior Citizens’ Affairs for announcements regarding payout. For inquiries, you may contact the Social Services Development Department.
