The Quezon City Government, led by the QC Veterinary Department (QCVD), has established an adoption center for impounded and neglected animals.
The center is equipped with a surgery room for dogs and cats that need to be neutered or spayed, as well as for other animals that need immediate medical attention. It serves as a temporary home for up to 60 animals until they find a new family.
The 450-square-meter facility also has two cages that separate sick animals from healthy ones, preventing the spread of illness.
Animals treated and housed in the QC animal adoption center will also be rehabilitated before being offered for adoption.
This initiative is part of the city’s Animal Welfare and Rehabilitation Program, promoting animal adoption and welfare.
As of June 2026, a total of 454 pets have been adopted since January 2025: 338 dogs and 116 cats.
