The local government of Quezon City through the Market Development and
Administration Department is making plans to make the city’s public market
sustainable, environment friendly and to have a cheaper waste disposal solution.

It is exploring the establishment of a Material Recovery Facility, a composting
machine that turns waste products into reusable materials.
